About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Ganapathy Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology is one of the foundational pillars of the institution. Established with a vision to produce competent electrical engineers, the department combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure to prepare students for the dynamic energy and automation sectors. About the Course & Curriculum

The B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate program that provides a comprehensive foundation in electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, electronics, machines, signal processing, and renewable energy. The curriculum, affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE, blends core subjects with electives such as smart grid technology, electric vehicle systems, embedded systems, and industrial automation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Admission is as per the norms of Anna University and Tamil Nadu Government (TNEA Counseling / Management Quota).
